This guy TRIED

You know what? I've seen some animations on newgrouds that were absolutely breathtaking. A lot in fact... that have made me felt like the author was doing it less from the love of the art and more for an ego stoke. In fact, there might be one or two in the top fifty. Empty is the word.

This animation made me feel the opposite of that. Through the care and clever variation of scenes I could sense tangible passion for his art. That is what every artist should strive for, and that is what this flash accomplished.

ryer responds:

a very inspiring speach... thank you! And just to tell you, I am a girl...

Things I treasure most...

Atari... BOC... and that underlying feeling of hazy acrylic nostalgia. I'm too tired to comment on the parallels that you deftly extrude from this presentation... I'm elated just to wrap myself in that ethereal aesthetic in which I conduct all manners of self expression... an aesthetic and tone that you managed to distill 100%.

robototron responds:

All I can say is thank you so much. This ranks among the best reviews I've ever read, let alone received. Its source, a celebrated NG artist, only makes me that much more humbled.

Your stuff makes me love life

Your cartoons are wonderful. I find them highly enjoyable and completely original. I could watch them again and again and again... Perhaps we could collaberate some day! that would be RAD!

Renshu responds:

I'm a busy busy man, but if FATE decides that cooperation with a fellow ROCKING DUDE is in order, then so be it! *Thumbs UP*

What could have been...

Livecorpse's style kept getting more and more refined and pronounced. Behind the facade of gore, I think he was really trying to say something with his flash. Much like the final works of Van Gogh, we see a troubled artist expressing himself through shockingly vivid, stabbing color and looming, outreaching direction. Toward the end of LC's flash crafting, you can almost feel the hostility and desperation permeating through the monitor with unrelenting, aggressive energy. Adam grabs the audience and, for a moment, points the gun at THEM. That's the way I've always felt about his flash.

Maybe he was beyond help at this point, but hopefully with this flash we can find new appreciation for his vision.

artificial responds:

yes you are right my good man

thank you

Haa haa haa

Good work! that was funny as hell! Not too mention very well animated. Make more!

ColinMatthews responds:

Thanks and i will very soon

Very, very close to the original.

If I didn't know better, I would have sworn this came from the creator. I can really tell you spent a great deal of time emulating the Poninjas style. Great job!

Shinkdog responds:

thanks man. i think i spent too long on it
lol

IsOnFire-2 responds:

INDEED!!!11 ANOTHER MASTERPIECE FINISHED!1

"STUFF"

FUCK YEAH!!! That was HILARIOUS!!!!

Out of all the movies that are "crappy looking on purpose", this is the ONLY ONE I've seen that actually succeeds so completely!!!

..Unless you didn't intend for it to look crappy on purpose. In which case I apollogize.

FIVE!!!

Renshu responds:

HAHA! Crappy on purpose, indeed! Thanks man!

Good for you

If Im correct, I've seen this flash uploaded at least five different times. But, each time the author went back, actually improved things and then resubmitted. Having your work blammed repeatedly, reposting a better version and persevering says a lot about a person. Good job, Im glad this finnaly made it through.

MaxR responds:

I only made 3 completely different movies of Little Fighter Alpha, each with different versions. The 1st sucked, the 2nd it survived but NG deleted because they thought i stole it for some reason, I resubmitted it again but it didn't survived because of size, now the 3rd (this one) finally survives in NG. So I really try to make my movie better each time.

Fawkin' funny!!!

When things cause me to laugh, I give them a five. Well... this rule really only applies to things on NG, but, you know... I don't think Dave Chapelle would understand if I wrote him a letter saying "I gave you a five dawg!" He would probably just be boggled.

Oh yeah, sorry about all that.

I gave this a five! Pretty damn good collaboration. Good job guys!

Freetospeak responds:

Thank you!

No. Let's talk about YOU.
