Whoa...

Not bad at all... aside from the excruciating instruction segment, the game actually plays pretty well. You're a pretty savvy programmer, judging from the multi-layering in the background and the way the video quality auto-adjusts itself. Nicely done!

SamTheSlam responds:

Thanks for the nice review :). Yea too many people seem to hate the instructions, I should just make it simple and shorter. Thanks again

Nice surprise!

Surprisingly playable! It's evident that this game took a long time to make. The digital charecters look damn good for homebrew! I was very impressed with the colision detection and variety of enemies. If it was a little more cleaned up, this could pass for an early nineties arcade game.

Well done!

gavD responds:

Thanks ElnoabNuxNux,

I reached the limits of my Photoshop patience after about the 300th sprite frame, so yeah, it's still a little gritty - but you know what? I quite like that.

You see, I view Flash as punk rock - get what you can and use it, do it yourself, drag it up from the underground - that's why I like it a bit grimey!

You guys deserve it!

Man. I almost forgot how awesome this game is. I seriously hope you guys make millions off of the consle version. You have absolutely earned it!

Great stuff

This is a game that you can really get lost in. It's addictive, it's fresh and it's certainly challenging. It reminds me somewhat of the game "Bubbles" (Check it under my favorite submissions if yer interested), only way faster paced. One suggestion: Ever hear of "Ikaruga" on Dreamcast? It was a shooter in which you could change your ship's color in order to absorb coresspondingly colored bullets. I think a feature like this would add another dimension to the gameplay. It's great as it is though... Awesome job!

Ultra-deluxe awesome

I can't immagine how much time, thought, effort... etc. went into this. It's like you reinvented the entire game! I played the crap out of the NES version back in the day, so you'd think I'd be burnt on it... WRONG! Everything felt so fresh and original! Way to go, you're an amazing coder/artist!

Pretty damn good!

Not a bad game at all! The graphics were good, as were the sound effects. I found the game to be pretty fun overall. The only things that bugged me were the somewhat "floaty" controls, and the kinda stiff animation of the main charecter. Other than that, very very solid and fun! great job!

Thank you.

This is one (very importatnt) subject that doesn't get enough attention. Easy to understand and entertaining as well. Good work!

ZoloftClock responds:

I am happy you founf my tutorial both easy to understand, and entertaining, I should not have made it lock though.

Excellent!

I can't believe that you made this flash. Not that it was bad... on the contrary, it was very well done. I'm just surprised because I have become familliar with your earlier works. Some of which were VERY disturbing.

I've become a fan, and I always look forward to the bizzare... maybe even brilliant movies you create. I'll never forget "no hands? no cookies!".

If I'm not mistaken (and you don't have to answer this) your alias is Estelle Getty?

Good work!

Gigli responds:

Well I thank you for the conversion! My goal was always to devellop a cult following by giving users a different kind of flash

And despite speculation Estelle and I, while good friends, are two completely different people with the same sordid sense of humor.

So if you like my stuff, vote high for Estelle's as well!

creepy...

Very very interesting stuff here... I really like how you slow down the songs when you replay them. It makes it sound even more like Satan. Scary stuff. Good work!

Heaven57 responds:

Yeah, I found the Roy Orbison one to be the creepiest. Thanks for the review!

I love this game.

Truly I do. All I could ask for is more courses and possible more diverse obstacles. You know- windmills, confetti spewing clowns, ostriches with diarhea...

The game is pretty bulletproof though. Great job.

No. Let's talk about YOU.
